Come Home Wrap Shorts: Standard Gauge Knitting Machine Pattern
The Come Home Wrap Shorts, knit in a light fingering to fingering weight yarn, are made by knitting four separate panels, two right and two left, that are then seamed together. An i-cord edge is then added along the side edges and bottom hem.
This pattern is for a standard gauge, single bed domestic knitting machine.
Sizes XS, SM, MD (LG, XL, 2XL) 3XL, 4XL, 5XL fit a waist measurement of
20”-22”, 24”-26”, 28”30” (32”-34”, 36”-38”, 40”-42”) 44”-46”, 46”-48”, 48”-50”
These are designed to have a neutral to positive ease of 0 - 2 inches. If you are between sizes, I suggest sizing up.
Some things you should know, before you buy:
This a knitting pattern, not a finished product.
For the pictured sample, and every pair of shorts I’ve ever made using this pattern, I’ve used recycled or unraveled yarn. I do not know the exact yardage needed, and the yarn weight I use varies. Sometimes I use two lace weights held together, sometimes a light fingering or fingering weight. The difference in size, for me, is negligible, but I know not all knitters like making projects that have unpredictable outcomes. So please keep that in mind before you buy!
